About us
Welcome! I am Athena, a wife to a loving husband, Steve, and mother of 4 lively boys who range from college aged to preschool. While I am a consultant by day and a podcaster by night, I am full time follower of Christ. From the time I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior, He has given me a passion for His word. As I grew in my studies of His word, the Lord laid on my heart the need for women to be equipped with knowledge of the word of God, encouraged in their daily lives, and extended a hand to walk in unity + love with other women in Christ. Out of this, Esperanza was born, a place for followers of Christ to find esperanza (hope) and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue to be a witness and ambassador of Christ (Romans 15:13). Bride of Christ, here you will find a weekly blog to encourage you in the daily and small group bible studies for the equipping of the saints in community.
